Responsibilities
Manages and coordinates the warehousing, e-commerce fulfillment, clerical support and customer support
Through liaison with involved process partners develops better than world class service methods to meet and exceed customer requirements and expectations
Manage the day to day operational budget and forecasts against budget
Ensure the operations deliver the expected level of customer service against the agreed KPIs year on year
Manage the daily operations, in conjunction with local managers and contractor management, by forecasting verifying volumes for inbound and outbound goods flow ensuring the necessary resources are available
Coordinate warehouse activities with departmental heads of other functions, e.g. planning, sales order processing, key trade partners
Oversee local transportation planning to ensure best results are obtained
Manage the warehouse contract so that financial targets set by management are met
Monitor financial performance regularly by reporting against budget in line with business requirements
Ensure the warehouse environment is one that promotes job satisfaction, motivates staff and develops employees through ensuring the warehouse team is clearly focused on achieving operational objectives
Manage relationships with key personnel in suppliers, transport companies and other service providers
Develop and install procedures and controls to maximize operation efficiency, maintain information flow and promote communications
Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work, appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems
Required Skills
Bachelors degree preferred; equivalent experience required
3 - 5 years multi sector, warehouse experience in all process areas
Proven track record in a lean automotive parts distribution environment preferred
Ability to professionally interact with varying levels within the company, including presenting at all levels
Experience in managing multiple departments simultaneously
Proven ability to mentor and cultivate direct reports so that they reach their full potential
Strong leadership skills
Must have excellent oral and written communication skills
Must possess intermediate to expert computer skills to include Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint
SAP knowledge would be an advantage
Must have the ability to travel
Must be a self-starter
